As the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel began to brighten and the collective anticipation for travel reached critical pressure late in 2021, Jetstar readied itself to satiate explosive demand, creating its Rather be on Holiday? campaign with Wunderman Thompson. It immediately captured the familiar dullness of life for many of us at home, at the supermarket, and being stuck in traffic and contrasted it with the irreplaceable thrill of getting away.



Brought on by Melbourne production company Sherpa to shoot companion stills, I was tasked with capturing the essence of the TVC for print and web uses as each of three couples are transported to their respective happy places — a coastal adventure, a theme park, and a golf course.
